Making do

Making Do explores how everyday and inexpensive materials can hold practical knowledge, invention and cultural memory. Rooted in working-class histories of repair, improvisation and producing value from limited means, the works transform domestic forms, building materials and familiar objects through casting, printing, stacking and material mimicry. These materials are not treated as poor substitutes, but as stores of skill, care and resourcefulness. Value is produced through labour, attention and context, as ordinary matter is remade into something elevated, strange and newly visible.
